WHAT IS RADIOFREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING?

Radiofrequency microneedling is a procedure that combines microneedling technology with radio waves. 

The procedure involves the insertion of sterile needles into the dermis. This creates microscopic channels that stimulate the natural processes of regeneration and collagen production. Next, the device emits heat into the skin to support this process. 

Thanks to this activity, radiofrequency microneedling is recommended in treatments aimed at improving skin firmness and tension, evenning out its tone, as well as reducing wrinkles and scars.

The procedure is performed using a dedicated device. During the procedure, the head of the device equipped with sterile microneedles is applied to a treatment site, where it creates micropunctures. The duration of the procedure depends on the size of the treatment area and usually lasts about several dozen minutes.

Individual sensations during the treatment may vary due to different pain thresholds in each patient. During the treatment, the patient may feel warmth, gentle pricks and burning. To minimise any discomfort, local anesthesia may be used. 

After radiofrequency microneedling procedure, the skin may be slightly reddened and swollen. Symptoms should resolve spontaneously within a few hours after the procedure. 

The effect after radiofrequency microneedling is an individual issue dependent on the patient's personal circumstances. The effect may depend on the type and depth of lesions, the treated area or the patient’s individual circumstances. 
It is usually recommended to perform a series of 4-6 treatments with a 3-4 week break between subsequent treatments.

After the procedure, it is recommended to use moisturizing and regenerating creams in accordance with the recommendations of a specialist. In addition, excessive rubbing of the skin, sauna and hot baths should be avoided for several days after the procedure.
