WHAT IS HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENT WITH BOTOX?

Sweating is a natural process necessary to maintain a stable body temperature. Nevertheless, sweating can become troublesome when the activity of the sweat glands is excessive, and the amount of sweat released more than physiological. If excessive sweating occurs for no specific reason, such phenomenon is called primary hyperhidrosis, which mainly affects areas such as hands, armpits or feet. 

The treatment with botox is a response to these problems. This consists in reducing the amount of sweat produced by injecting botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, tothe selected site. 

The action of Botox reduces the flow of nerve impulses into the muscles and sweat glands, resulting in a decrease in sweating.
