WHAT IS LIP MODELING WITH HYALURONIC ACID?

The procedure of lip modelling with hyaluronic acid consists in injecting the product containing hyaluronic acid to the site requiring correction.

Due to its properties and the fact that it occurs naturally in the human body, hyaluronic acid has been used for years in many fields of medicine, especially in aesthetic medicine treatments.

Hyaluronic acid has strong hygroscopic properties, a strong moisturizing effect, and when used in the lip modeling procedure it has a form of a high plastic crystalline gel of great plasticity. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - LIP MODELING WITH HYALURONIC ACID

The first step of the procedure is to use an anaesthetic ointment to reduce any discomfort during the procedure. Next, the preparation is injected into the selected site with a needle or cannula. After the product is introduced, the doctor performs a gentle massage so that hyaluronic acid is evenly distributed.

The sensations during the performed treatments are individual and dependent on the patient's pain threshold. Lip modelling with hyaluronic acid may cause a slight feeling of discomfort, so in order to reduce it - an anesthetic ointment is used immediately before the procedure. Additional anaesthetics are also be contained in the preparations used during the procedure.

Immediately after the procedure, the lips may be slightly swollen and bruises may appear. In addition, the lips may be painful and hypersensitive to touch. Symptoms should resolve spontaneously within a few days after the procedure.

With time, hyaluronic acid degrades naturally and gradually and it is absorbed into the body. The duration of the process may vary in each patient and it depends on individual conditions, among others: the patient's lifestyle, age, genetic predisposition. Usually, the effect lasts for several months up to about 1 year after the performed procedure.
The patients who want to maintain the treatment effect after such time are recommended to repeat the procedure after consultation with a doctor.

For a few days after the procedure, it is not recommended to drink or smoke cigarettes. You should also avoid sauna, swimming pool, solarium and intense physical effort.
If bruising occurs, an arnica ointment may be used to speed up the healing process.
