WHAT IS PEPTIDE MESOTHERAPY?

One variants of the mesotherapy treatment is peptide mesotherapy, which consists in administration, in the form of an injection, of a preparation constituting a combination of hyaluronic acid and an amino acid complex. Thanks to such combination of substances, it is also known as amino acid replacement therapy.

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a treatment that involves injecting active substances directly into the skin. These substances are selected individually according to the needs of the patients and they may contain, among others, vitamins, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, peptides, minerals and other active ingredients.

The procedure is carried out by means of a very thin needle, which injects the product into the selected treatment site.

Individual sensations during the treatment may vary due to different pain thresholds in each patient. To reduce any discomfort due to injection of the product - peptide mesotherapy is performed after previous application of anesthetizing cream to the skin. 

After the treatment, the skin may be reddened, swollen and tender. Injection sites may be visible and bruising may also appear. Symptoms should resolve within a few days after the treatment.

Usually, the treatment effect lasts for about a few months. However, it should be remembered that the duration of treatment effect may vary from patient to patient. This is affected by various factors, including age, skin type, health status, type of treatment performed, and the area that is being treated. 

It is usually recommended that a series of 4 treatments be performed with a 2-weeks break between subsequent treatments. The final number of procedures and their frequency is determined by a specialist during an individual consultation, taking into account i.a. the skin type, severity of the problem, patients; expectations.

For 24 hours after the treatment you should not use sauna, swimming pool or participate in intense workouts. You should also avoid sun exposure and use creams with a strong SPF sunscreen.
