What is poly-DL-lactide-based biostimulator?

Poly-DL-lactide-based biostimulator is the so called hybrid filler, which contains hyaluronic acid and poly-DL-lactide acid. 

Thanks to the combination of these two substances, the biostimulator induces the skin to produce collagen, while nourishing it and keeping it hydrated. 

The poly-DL-lactide-based biostimulator, due to the appropriate concentration of the substances contained therein, is used in procedures intended to renew large areas of the skin, as well as "more difficult" body parts such as hands, decolletage, neck or eye area. 

INDICATIONS:

  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Flabby skin in the neck and decolletage area
  • Revitalisation of facial skin, including the sensitive eye area

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

The preparation is injected into the skin with a needle or cannula. To reduce any discomfort, the treatment is performed under local anesthesia. 

The sensations during the treatment are an individual issue dependent on the patient's pain threshold. Treatments with the poly-DL-lactide-based biostimulator may cause a slight feeling of discomfort, so in order to reduce it - the treatment site is anesthetized immediately before the treatment.

There may be a slight swelling after the treatment, especially in sensitive areas such as the eye area. Small hematoma may also appear due to punctures. Symptoms should resolve within a few days after the treatment.
