Diagnostic tests at Sense Med Concept

The path to regeneration, harmony and health begins with understanding the principles of the body's functioning. Diagnostic tests are performed according to the needs of a specific person. At Sense Med Concept, first of all we determine what scope of tests will be optimum for the patient.

24h Holter ECG

Heart is one of the most burdened organs in our body. In addition, environmental factors such as stress, stimulants or unbalanced diet also affect its functioning.
In order to appropriately verify the proper functioning of the heart, it is recommended to monitor the heart for a longer period of time. Holter ECG allows the electrical activity of the heart to be tested for a minimum of 24 hours, and may last up to 48 hours. This gives a broader picture of how the heart functions, enabling to detect latent defects. People showing symptoms that may indicate cardiac arrhythmia may be referred for such a test. These symtoms include fainting, dizziness, and palpitations. The test is painless. During the examination, the recording electrodes attached to the recorder are sticked to the patient’s skin. Such a recorder is worn by the patient on the neck for the duration of the examination.

ECG

An ECG is a non-invasive and completely painless test, which is recommended for patients to detect heart abnormalities. This test is recommended for individuals aged 45 years or more as part of periodic tests. In addition, such a test is order for patients who experienced chest pain, dizziness, loss of consciousness, or palpitations. During this test, the doctor can detect abnormal heart rate, myocardial ischemia, recent or past myocardial infarction. The test lasts for several minutes, involves placing the electrodes on the patient's body in the relevant sites on the body. Then, through the electrodes, information on the difference of tension between the electrodes is collected, which is recorded on a special ECG paper. The test lasts about 5 minutes. The resulting record must be evaluated by a doctor.

Genetic tests

Genetic research is aimed, among other things, at determining the risk of serious diseases, including oncological diseases. Thanks to the information on your genetic burden, appropriate measures may be taken that may reduce the risk of developing a disease, or enable quick diagnosis. Genetic tests at Sense Med Concept are performed in cooperation with Warsaw Genomics and the Alab laboratory.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is one of the basic diagnostic imaging tests. It is completely painless and non-invasive. This test consists in emitting ultrasounds into the body in order to obtain an image. This image is produced by means of ultrasound reflection from internal organs. Despite the great ability of ultrasounds to penetrate deep into the body, they do not have an adverse effect on the organs. Ultrasound is performed on specific parts of the body, including abdominal cavity, breasts, thyroid, testicles, prostate, heart and transvaginal ultrasound. Tumours, cysts and other lesions that may occur inside the body may be detected during this test. Some tests may require special preparation from the patient. Please contact the reception desk for detailed information.

Laboratory tests

Laboratory tests are one of the basic elements of diagnostics. Thanks to their low invasiveness, they allow easy collection of material for testing. Laboratory tests include blood, urine, stool tests and swabs. The collected material is sent to the laboratory for verification. At Sense Med Concept, tests such as cytology and histopathology are performed additionally. Cytology is a test that is performed to diagnose cervical cancer or precancerous conditions. This test is recommended once a year. In our clinic, histopathological examination is part of dermatological diagnostics. Examination of the collected specimen, in this case the skin, makes it possible to diagnose the nature of the lesion, and thus quickly introduce appropriate treatment if needed.
