Scars and stretch marks

Scar formation is a natural reaction of the body to skin damage resulting from an accident, surgery or disease. The connective tissue replaces the connective tissue proper in the healing process - as a result, it can be smooth and invisible, or may become thick, hard and tense. In the second case, an aesthetic problem arises.

Stretch marks are a type of scars. They appear as a result of sudden, excessive stretching or shrinking of the skin. Cracking collagen and elastin fibers cause the formation of red, pink, or purple lines. As a result of healing, stretch marks become brighter - they take on a pearl or ivory colour.

Creams or lotions on scars and stretch marks act only in the initial inflammatory phase, and even then they do not eliminate the unsightly lesions completely. Effective treatment requires application of aesthetic medicine solutions. They include i.a. microneedle mesotherapy, which stimulates the natural regeneration abilities of the skin.

Laser removal of scars and stretch marks is considered the most effective method. Ablative and non-ablative lasers bring the expected result in the form of elimination of lesions, stimulation of the production of collagen fibers and regaining elasticity and firmness of the skin. This is a highly effective, non-invasive treatment.
